Lean Six Sigma Black Belt

Overview

This is a comprehensive program for developing highly advanced competencies in continuous improvement using advanced statistical tools which enable managers to solve complex Quality, Operational and Supply Chain problems resulting in significant business benefits. It enables executives to mentor Mahindra Yellow Belt and Mahindra Green Belt Projects.

Objectives

To develop competence in complex Problem Solving using advanced statistical tools.
Promote the use of advanced statistical tools in solving chronic problems.
Develop a pool of officers proficient in the application and training of highly advanced statistical tools and techniques.

Course Contents
  • Introduction to Six Sigma, Lean and Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, Data Planning, Sampling Technique.
  • Identification of Projects, Project Charter, Lean Simulation, Top Down and Functional Deployment Map, Value Stream Map (VSM), Quick Wins through VA/NVA Analysis, Measurement System Analysis, Sigma level calculation.
  • Introduction to Statistical Software (Minitab), Hypothesis testing using comparative methods, Non Parametric tools to deal with non normal data, Multiple regression, Design of experiments (Full factorial, Fractional Factorial, Plackett Burman, Taguchi DOE, Shainin Tools, Multivary Analysis, Statistical Process control, Process capability study, Solution selection matrix, Process control systems, TRIZ over view and overview of DFSS.

    Training is spread over 4 months, wherein each week of residential training is followed by 1 month of project work for the application at the workplace.
